Detailed Description

This is a thick coating water-based product which yields special antique effects. ANTICANDO is available in two versions: ANTICANDO 300 for indoor use and ANTICANDO 600 for outdoor use. Both are made using acrylic resins and natural fillers. After application, the decorated surface remains breathable, washable and may be painted over. ANTICANDO is easily applied to various types of surface, such as cement, plaster, plaster of Paris, plasterboard, wood and iron after suitable treatment has been applied. CHARACTERISTICS: Both ANTICANDO 300 for indoor use and ANTICANDO 600 for outdoor use are available in 4-litre and 12-litre packs. To obtain the colours in the catalogue, simply mix FINIX 60 (Transparent) for indoor application or FINIX 80 (Transparent) for outdoor decoration with the appropriate quantity of COLORI' colouring paste, as described under each colour sample. COLORI' is supplied in 80 and 480 ml measuring packs (these are suitably marked) and this makes it easier to add the correct amount of paste in order to obtain the desired result. APPLICATION: 1) ANTICANDO is ready to use and should be mixed well. The special PV 77 plastic spatula or the plastic or stainless steel trowel should be used to apply the product directly to both new and old sound surfaces which are free from dust, even if they have already been painted. An uneven layer should be spread over the entire surface, leaving visible irregular and raised strokes which are close together. After 8 hours at 20°C, when ANTICANDO has dried properly, proceed with the application of tinted FINIX 60 or 80. Application of FINIX 60 and 80: When ANTICANDO has dried completely, after approximately 8 hours at 20°C, apply FINIX 60 or 80 with a brush, spreading the product sparingly using irregular brush strokes in all directions. Next, while the FINIX is still wet and using the PV 77 spatula, work the product with criss-crossed spatula strokes, exerting a moderate pressure, to achieve the Antique Art effect. Other decorative effects may be achieved through the application of FINIX 60 or 80, using a woollen glove or a sponge, depending on the imagination of the person applying it. N.B: ANTICANDO becomes breathable and washable and may be painted over after 48 hours at 20°C. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: 2) Old walls. Remove old non-adhering and peeling paint from the support and wash using water and a suitable soap product. Next, apply a coat of PRIMERT 400 diluted 50% with water to act as a fixative. After approximately 4 hours at 20°C, apply a second brushed coat of PRIMER 400 diluted 20 - 30% with water. If, however, the surfaces are clean and not peeling, apply a coat of PRIMER 400 diluted 20 - 30% with water. After 4 hours at 20°C, proceed with the application of ANTICANDO as described in point 1. 3) New walls. Stucco the surface where necessary using VALSTUC. When dry, after approximately 4 hours at 20°C, sand the surface then apply a coat of PRIMART 400 diluted 15 - 20% with water. After 4 hours at 20°C, proceed with the application of ANTICANDO as described in point 1. 4) Wood, glass, light alloys and painted iron. Degrease and sand the surface well to improve adhesion, then apply a coat of PRIMER 400 diluted 15 - 20% with water. After 4 hours at 20°C, proceed with the application of ANTICANDO as described in point 1. 5) New iron (not treated). Remove all grease and any layers of rust from the surface and apply one coat (or more) of WIKTOR water-based anti-rust treatment. When dry, after approximately 4 hours at 20°C, apply a coat of PRIMER 400 diluted 15 - 20% with water. After 8 hours at 20°C, proceed with the application of ANTICANDO as described in point 1.
