PROTERLEGNO 289 WOOD WAXED VARNISH Water-based wood product for interior and exterior, colored or transparent hydro-repellent product necessary for wood preservation to be used for doors, windows and all the wooden manufactures. APPLICATION METHOD: Clean the surface of the wood properly and remove any dirt, greasy, oily, stains and any presence of resins and waxes. It is important to polish the wooden surface accurately as all water-based products raise the ‘hair’ of wood making the surface rough. Between one application and another of PROTERLEGNO 289 a light sanding is suggested using 400 no sandpaper. The application between one coating and another of PROTERLEGNO 289 idrorepellente (hydro-repellent) must be within 2 hours approximately to avoid problems of anchor aging among different paint layers. N.B.: PROTERLEGNO 289 is waterproof and it is suitable for wood preservation outside and inside. In fact, it protects wood from fungus and marcescence. Colored PROTERLEGNO 289 has a good resistance from U.V. rays. Different kinds of wood as coniferous, a fir-tree, Douglas, pine, etc. are rich with natural resins near the knots. As it is not possible to take it away completely as during summer temperature augmentation provokes it is coming out, it could verify a non-pleasant aesthetic effect though its quality remains unchanged. The application and the drying must be not inferior to +15°C and at a relative humidity not inferior to 85%. Do not throw residual in the drains. The temperature of stocking must be not inferior to +5°C and superior +35°C. Working tools must be cleaned soon after use with water: use Nitro Diluents if paint has dried on them.
